Stainless Steel Midwest

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Blue Alloys, a stainless steel and specialty alloys processor based in LaGrange, Kentucky. Our purchase of the former Blue Alloys, LLC, now to be known as Stainless Steel Midwest,[1] is effective as of September 1, 2014.  Stainless Steel Midwest an ownership group comprised of the former management of Blue Alloys, members of Allied Alloys, and Mr. Andrew Yaffe. This collaboration allows Allied Alloys to extend its commitment to customer service into the Midwest, ensuring continued and expanded supply of material for the USA mills while adding a 5th processing facility for delivery by suppliers.

By adding the Stainless Steel Midwest facility in LaGrange, Kentucky to Allied Alloys’ existing facilities in Houston, Dallas, and Los Angeles, Allied Alloys will extend its ability to serve domestic and international customers and suppliers.

Stainless Steel Midwest brings together the substantial knowledge and experience of Andrew Yaffe, Mitch Greenberg, Mukesh Turakhia, Adam Gutow-Ellis, Steve Jones and Terry Hancock.

Allied Alloys will continue to map out strategic growth domestically and internationally, bridging the gap for secondary nickel units, air-melt and vacuum alloys.
